BOAT HARBOUR PARK

Public BBQ

Boat Harbour Park occupies a rather enviable spot along Paradise Parade, where the protected cove offers those postcard-worthy water views that make you momentarily forget you're still technically in suburbia. The off-leash dog area has earned its stripes as one of the Gold Coast's top ten, though one does wonder about the somewhat alarming proximity to busy traffic - a design oversight that keeps dog owners perpetually vigilant. The fenced playground caters beautifully to the toddler brigade with its sand base and sensible shade sails, while covered gazebos provide civilized spots for picnics. Fishing enthusiasts appreciate the boat ramp and nearby tackle shop, though dawn and dusk bring clouds of sandflies that seem determined to spoil the tranquil atmosphere. The toilets are present and correct, and for those seeking quiet strolls rather than aquatic adventures, the park delivers a surprisingly peaceful escape from the coastal hustle.
